Gosford Anglican Church: Look Here For Symptoms of The West’s Decline

The 2016 Australian Census tells us that 52% of the Australian population name Christianity (Catholic, Anglican, Orthodox etc.) of one kind, their religion. Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism came in with less than 3% respectively, while 30% of the population are affiliated with no religion.

Many Australians who are concerned with the direction their homeland is heading consider Islam and it’s inherent hate for western values as our biggest threat. I concur, Islam is a threat, a bloody and horrific one at that. But is their a larger threat?

I believe that our biggest threat comes from within. There is a rejection of western values that has infested the institutions we once respected. From the armed forces, to educational institutions and media. The list goes on. One institution that few people think to consider is the church (of the christian kind).

Media coverage of the church is overwhelmingly negative. Think of the Catholic Church these days and immediately paedophilia springs to mind. And if it’s not paedophilia it will be strict discipline, or government funding to Catholic schools that is scrutinised by Big Media. But the church isn’t helping itself either.

Anglican Parish of Gosford, by the Brisbane Waters in Gosford, NSW, Australia.

If you head up to the Central Coast of New South Wales and take a look at the Gosford Anglican Church on Mann Street, you will begin to realise their truly is something wrong with the church. At his regular sermons (which are also posted online) you can hear Father Rod Bower teach about the ritualised violence that is cricket.

“As the projectile is hurled at the victim, the scapegoat, even the targets friends are safely out of the way, having abandoned their comrade to an uncertain fate. But there are rules to this expression of violence; three little wooden sticks are symbolically placed, as a ritual target instead of the victim . . .”

On the Commonwealth Games he preached:

This week 53 nations went to war . . . The Commonwealth Games may seem nothing like war, after all they are the friendly games, but never-the–less these particular expressions of sporting excellence have their genesis in war.

The virtue signalling activist is happy tearing down the last remnants of masculinity in his sermons but he also loves to use his church billboard to preach his warped form of Christianity. Some of his politically correct postings include:

Gosford Anglican Church – Mann Street, Gosford.

Dear Christians some ppl are gay. Get over it. Love God.

Bless the burqa

Boycott the bigots and bullies buy halal.

Yes the bible teaches tolerance and forgiveness I hear you say, but it doesn’t promote the worship of false gods/prophets. By promoting the burqa – the full face cover used by subjugated Islamic women – you are promoting another god and another religion. To encourage people to buy halal approved food you are not only funding the Islamic religion, but you are giving tacit approval for the inhumane slaughter of animals. By ignoring gays and not trying at all to assist them in fighting off an affliction, you are not doing God’s work.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11
. . . neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Father Rod and his congregation do promote false prophets and he is encouraging people to follow a path toward the biblical hell. His radical form of pseudo-Christianity is a symptom of western civilisation’s decline. The dumping of traditions and responsibilities now rife among the nations of Europe, North America and the pacific Anglosphere will not be without consequence.

Douglas Murray

In the best selling The Strange Death of Europe by Douglas Murray, the author gets to the heart of this very issue. Murray speaks in cautious tones about the replacement the west will stumble upon for Christianity. Europeans have questioned their identity and no longer is the belief of western universalism on strong foundations, he writes. Speaking about mass immigration he says, “A culture of self-doubt and self-distrust is uniquely unlikely to persuade others to adopts its own stance. Meantime it is possible that many – at least – of the incomers will either hold fast to their own certainties or even, quite plausibly, attract Europeans in the generations to come with these certainties.”
