And The Dumbest Politician of The Year Award Goes to Sarah Hanson Young

Terminally stupid Green Senator for South Australia, Sarah Hanson Young has done it again. The overweight diversity quota hire has confused the arrival of Captain Cook in Botany Bay (1770) with the landing of the First Fleet in 1788.

In a mammoth cock up the Green Senator issued a press release targeting Scott Morrison for announcing plans to build a monument to Captain James Cook. The poorly read Hanson Young wrote, “Despite an important national debate about changing the date of Australia Day, away from Captain Cook’s landing, at Botany Bay, the government has decided to spend taxpayer money it is stripping from the ABC on yet another monument to Captain Cook.”

The press release which included buzzwords and quotes on offended First Australians and the Dharawal people was a massive virtue signalling fail. Hanson Young is famous for gaffes and comments out of line with the majority of Australians. It begs the question, just how dumb are the people of South Australia that voted this burden into parliament.

Hanson Young a ‘champion of the little people’ as a member of the Greens famously charged taxpayers $2700 in 2013 for her trip to Sydney’s famed Gay Mardi Gras. This year she also put her foot in her virtue signalling mouth when implying that Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton was racist for merely considering white South African refugees. “The problem with people like Peter Dutton is he thinks he can pick favourites — favourites it seems like from where they come from and what they look like. I think it’s appalling.”
